  10. 2 tbsp ghee

  14. 2 green chillies, chopped
  15. 2 onion, chopped
  16. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  17. 1 tsp coriander powder
  18. 1/2 tsp asafoetida (hing)
  19. 1/2 cup green peas
  20. As per taste Salt
  21. To To Serve -
  22. as required Ghee
  23. as required Curd
  24. As required Pickle
  25. some Papad

Instructions to make to make Moong Dal Khichdi

  1. Assembled all mentioned ingredients at one place.
  2. In a pressure cooker, add ghee, moon dal and roast well
  3. Add rice, salt to taste, carrots, water as required, turmeric powder, red chilli powder mix well and cook for 1-2 whistles.
  4. In another kadai, add ghee, oil, cumin seeds and let it splutter.
  5. Now add green chillies, ginger,onion and saute till its translucent.
  6. Then add salt to taste, red chilli powder, coriander powder, hing and saute well.
  7. Now add green peas saute well on medium flame and add cooked dal rice and mix well until combined.
  8. Now add little water, cover and cook it for 3-4 mins and it is ready to serve
  9. Serve with drizzle some extra ghee on top.
    Best served with khichdi's four friends😄 Papad, Achar, Ghee and Yogurt on the side.
