- 1 lemon juice
- 1 bunch coriander leaves
- 1/2 bunch mint leaves
- 1/2 cup milk with strands of saffron
- 1/2 teaspoon yellow food colour
- 1/2 teaspoon saffron essence
- Hard spices:-
- 1 star anise
- 2 black cardamoms
- 4-5 cinnamon sticks
- 6-8 cloves
- 4-6 green cardamoms
- 1/4 teaspoon shahizeera (black cumin)
- 1 tablespoon ghee (optional)
- Serving with :-
- As required Mint raita
- As required Mirchon ka salan

- Firstly wash chicken with vinegar to get rid of the fishy smell or run normally under tap water drain water and pop in all spices and yoghurt for marinating then add mint and coriander leaves and the oil from fired onions set it in freezer for about an hour.

- Then I cook rice until 80% and drained the water now add rice later again the second layer of chicken and rice lastly add saffron milk,saffron essence,yellow food colour,mint &coriander leaves,ghee/oil and cover the lid cook for 10 minutes on high flame then 15-20 minutes on low flame and off the flame.
- Finally when it’s ready and aromatic mix with light hands and pop it on a serving plate and enjoy it with raita or mirchiyon ka salan and enjoy it..!
