- Next day,boil till tender.
- Soak rice for 30-40 minutes.
- Boil rice with whole spices.
- Drain water and keep the rice aside.
- Chop onion and tomatoes.

- Heat oil in a pan.
- Fry onion till light golden.
- Add in ginger garlic and tomatoes.
- Bhoono well till tomatoes are tender.
- Add in spiced yoghurt and BH oo no well till oil floats on top.
- Add in chickpeas and Bhoono well.
- Add in 1/2 a cup of water.
- Cook covered till masala thickens and moisture evaporates.
- Layer half rice in a pan.
- Put chickpea masala over it.
- Throw in lemons,green chillies,mint and ginger.
- Cover with remaining rice.
- Drizzle both milk and kewra over it.
- Cook covered on dum for 10-15 minutes.
- Serve with raita and salad.
