  24. 2 Green chillies chopped
  25. 1 tbsp Coriander chopped
  26. 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
  27. 1 cup Water
  28. For Masala Khichdi ::
  29. 2 cup soaked rice
  30. 1/2 cup masoor dal red wali
  31. 1 medium size Onion, finely chopped
  32. 1 tpsp Ginger garlic paste
  33. 2 cups Water
  34. 2 tablespoons Ghee
  35. 1/4 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  36. 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  37. 2 Cloves
  38. 1 Cinnamon stick, broken into 2 pieces
  39. 1 small piece of Bay Leaf
  40. 4 Black Peppercorns
  41. 1/2 Star Anise
  42. 1 Dry Red Chilli, broken into halves
  43. 1/2 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  44. 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  45. 4-6 fresh green
  46. 1 tablespoon Chillies finely chopped

  4. Khichdi:: Wash rice and dal soak them together in water for 20 minutes. Drain and keep aside until needed.
  5. Heat 2 tablespoons ghee Add mustard seeds and let them crackle. Add cumin seeds, cloves, cinnamon, bay leaf, black peppercorn, star anise, dry red chilli and ; sauté for a minute.
    Add chopped onion and sauté until onion turns light brown or for approx. 1-2 minutes.
  6. Add drained rice, dalni her garlic,,red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt. Sauté for 1 minute.
    Add 2 cups water, mix well cook till water dried Cover and cook on low flame for 6-8 minutes. Serve hot
